Laura-Jean Van Aardt

Laura-Jean started her real estate career in 2005 building a real estate career from the likes of Pam Golding Properties and the legendary John Cooper from Harcourts St Francis and Jeffreys Bay. She completed the NQF5 and PDE4 exam required for Real estate agents in South Africa and is now the principal of Deuce Real Estate.

Allan Arnot

Allan has worked in a Professional capacity for many years, having obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering at UCT. He also has extensive knowledge of the IT environment working as a software developer and DBA. He started his career in property in 2014 – a never-ending passion!

Rina Wessels

Office Administrator
After completing a degree in Communications from the University of Johannesburg, Rina enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the field of Corporate communications. After retiring from the corporate world, she joined Deuce Real Estate in order to lend her much desired experience to Allan and Laura-Jean, in building the company. She enjoys interacting with clients and has taken on responsibilities at the company, pursuant to her experience.

Francois Joubert

Francois started his professional career at the age of 17. He joined CAPAB, now Cape Town City Ballet, and progressed to Principal Dancer, having danced the lead male roles in famous ballets such as Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and others. He did a stint overseas with a small company, based in Germany. Unfortunately, a knee injury forced Francois into early retirement. He then completed a course in Travel and began a career as a travel consultant. In 2009, Francois joined a franchise, and worked as an Independent Travel Counsellor – a job he embraced with passion, he was well liked and respected among his peers and clients. Given the downturn in the travel industry, Francois has now joined Deuce Real Estate, to lend his people skills and experience in dealing with clients, to our business. He has taken to the job, like a duck to water, and we are expecting great things from him, as he pursues this new direction in his career path!

Mike Nel

Mike has Qualifications in Production, Quality, Marketing, and Sales. He started his working career in printing, where he passed his trade test in Lithography with A-distinctions. He completed various courses involving sales, motivation, and management. His career in marketing and sales took off in 1985 after he completed his studies at Wits Technikon, where he studied the Institute of Packaging (SA) Technology Course and passed all his subjects with A-distinctions as well. He also enrolled at the City & Guilds Institution from England and obtained a Certificate in Quality Control covering Statistical Process Control, Internal Auditing and Six Sigma. He then went on to obtain a Certificate in Sales Management and Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management. Mike joined Deuce Real Estate in 2020, as he has always been excited by the property market, having bought and sold properties many times in the past. We are excited to have him add his years of experience to the Deuce fold and know that with his hard-working attitude and integrity, he’ll get the job done for you!

Sandy Nel

Assistant to Mike Nel
With a strong work ethic, Sandy has built her career in a variety of industries, mostly the printing industry. After matric she started as a typist at Unisa. She then started on computers typing out all the newspapers at Perskor. Later years Sandy added office administrator, switchboard operator and then graphic design to her portfolio and obtained certificates of all the graphic design courses. She did a lot of magazine layouts, annual reports and the last 19 years did graphic design artwork for farmers' corrugated fruit and vegetable boxes and managed the graphic design department at a large packaging company. In addition to being flexible and responsive, she is also self-motivated and willing to learn anything that comes her way. Sandy is an outgoing, people’s person. She has a customer service mindset. She is an exceptional worker and has a discerning eye for detail. Sandy’s duty as a sales administrative assistant will include canvassing, listing and general admin. /

Joshua Ford

Joshua has joined the Deuce Real Estate team, having relocated from Roodeport, where he commenced his journey in real estate with a well-known property group. He is now pursuing his love for property with great enthusiasm. Concurrently, Joshua is working towards completing his qualifications, with the intention of becoming a qualified Engineer, specializing in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning. He already has a few years of practical experience in this field. Additionally, Joshua loves music and enjoys playing the guitar.

Marlette Bezuidenhoudt

Marlette has worked in the Corporate Environment for most of her career, after obtaining her degree in Home Economics at Stellenbosch University, specializing in Interior Design. Interior Design is a passion because of her creative side and goes hand in hand with the Property Industry. She has gained extensive experience over the years in Guest House Management, Franchise Management, Financial Management and Design. She is a very practical person and loves working with people to share her knowledge as a designer. Marlette has joined Deuce Real Estate, in order that she can give vent to her skills and love of people. Marlette says, “Real Estate is my passion because I can give people a H.O.M.E; H-for Happiness, O-for Ownership, M-for Memories and E-for Everything. House + Love = HOME.”

Sharon Troskie

Agent - Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
Sharon has been a resident of Gqeberha, formerly Port Elizabeth, for the past 30 years. She worked in the corporate world, starting off as a Pharmaceutical Representative for just over 21 years for 2 different companies. She worked as a Personal Assistant for a Psychiatrist and then switched to a completely different world! She was offered a position with Clarins, which she still considers to be one of the best skincare companies in the world! Over the past 4 years, she gained experience in the real estate world, handling the administrative duties for a number of agents. She has decided that she would love to work as an agent as she has a passion for people. “I have seen the excitement of a person buying their first property. And I have also witnessed the sad circumstances where a person had to sell their home. You buy a house and little by little you make it a home. Your home. Your safe place. Your home is where you make the best memories, and I really would like to be a part of that. So here I am throwing my hat into the ring with Deuce Real Estate in the PE office.” We welcome Sharon to Deuce, and believe she has what it takes to be a professional real estate agent.

Michelle van Wyk

Rentals & Holiday Lets
Michelle joined our organization in early June 2022. She is incredibly bright and approaches every task with tenacity and pragmatism. She is insightful and ensures that every person she interacts with is treated with compassion and respect. She recognizes that every client that comes to her will have different needs, and she acts accordingly. Michelle runs her own B&B and has a keen interest in real estate. She draws knowledge from her own business experience and readily applies it to her client's goals where appropriate. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and tending to the needs of her very spoiled cat, Stefaans. She is a keen reader, loves the outdoors, morning walks along Aston beach, and watching Netflix series. She is an incredible asset to our team! /

Dianne Gibbon

Dianne started her career at a tender age, as Secretary/Administrator. She worked for various companies, always highly regarded, for a total of 26 years in the Eastern Transvaal (Mpumalanga). In 2002, Dianne relocated to Jeffreys Bay and joined a Real Estate Franchise as Administrator. She currently operates as support admin to management, and her keen eye for detail, assists us in producing the best listings for our sales clients. She thoroughly enjoys the property industry and has gained a wealth of experience over the years – a wealth that we have come to rely on! Always pleasant and willing, Dianne is a valuable resource for Deuce.
